Where do you sleep?

I cannot explain how much I love my goats. They bring me SO MUCH JOY!! When I have a bad day, they, well Aaron likes to cuddle me. When it's raining, they both with come inside and lay in my lap. When I'm eating the goats want to eat my food. I love them so much I allowed them to sleep in my bed. They had belly bands on with incontinence pads, diapers and onesies. See video below of me getting one of the goats ready for bed time.

They LOVED IT! I and my husband, however did not like it as much. I loved the fact that AB would cuddle on me and lay his head on my arm, shoulder, chest, leg, whatever body part he wanted. BUT!! The pee, the poop! OH MY GOODNESS. When I say goats poop, guys they POOP A LOT! And the pee smells awful. So we tried to put them on a child'c couch at the end of the bed thinking they would sleep there and not move. I think we all know how that went...joke was on us. And we had more laundry to do the next day.

So finally after washing our sheets daily for the last few weeks, I tried to get them to sleep in the dog crate we have in our room. As you see from the pictures, I got in the crate WITH the goats to help them calm down. This was hilarious! I am not a big person, and attempting to keep 2 small goats within this crate was a challenge. They were able to get past me to the door, they tried to step over me and get out, they headbutted me, they bit me, they tried everything to get out. They hated it!! Even with me in there with them! Finally I shut the crate door and locked them in and turned off all the lights and left the room. They were like a baby! Braying for about 10 minutes then, silence. They were not asleep but at least calmed down. They have slept in the crate for the last few days and so far the clean up is SO MUCH EASIER!! They have towels and a blanket in the crate for comfort, they still have the belly bands and diapers on but when those fall off (OR Alex eats them off) then the poop and urine get on the blanket and towels which are so much easier to clean and wash daily!

Me, laying in the crate with them. Trying to get them to calm down.

They still bray for me when I put them in there at first. But they seem ok with being in the crate. We will have to get another when they get bigger but I no longer have to get into the crate with them and they are not soiling my bed. I call this a win!!

They do love to lay on me

We LOVE naps outside with momma

I attempted to get them to sleep outside once. My husband felt bad for them when they would not stop braying and we finally relented and brought them inside.
