Valentines Day Surprise

I found out my husband and my boss were working together. But not in the way you would think. They were conspiring against me along with my daughter to...bring home my baby goat!! Yes. I now have an inside/outside baby goat who was born January 12, 2023. Want to hear the story? Here goes...

My husband took me to Biltmore about 2 years ago and I fell in love with the goats. Ever since then I have been begging my husband to get me a goat, and I would always get the same answer, "We don't have land" "We said we didn't want any pets in the new house" "No" Well, that was until about 2 weeks ago when I stopped by the goat house on the way home and the couple were feeding the baby goats and they told me that they were selling their male goat for $100. I was ecstatic! But I didn't buy him then, I did the responsible thing and asked my husband first and he said... "ok." Well this was Saturday and I worked Sunday, BUT he and my children went to buy me my goat while I was working!! The pick up date was March 7, so now to get ready for the goat.

I researched, though more and more research is still going on. I bought diapers. We bought hay. We built a goat house. All with me thinking we were getting this goat March 7.

Well Friday, Feb 10, my boss told me she had something she needed to talk to me about on Monday Feb 13. Well my anxiety is really high and I assumed the worst and thought I was getting fired. *I didn't* I asked what she needed to talk to be about but she was very tight lipped. Then Monday Feb 13, I asked what she needed to talk to me about and she said, "Tomorrow, I need to you come in tomorrow and I will tell you. You can come in your pajamas if you want." Well again, my anxiety being what it is, I assumed the worst, but did it anyway. Pajamas and all!!

I go into work, my boss comes in and I am right there in her office. She said she could not tell me what she needed to talk to me about, I should clock in and start working on something. So I did. Then she said, "I made a mistake, it fell through, you can go home now." WHAT?! She said I would learn of her mistake, "but not here" WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES THAT MEAN??!! Finally though I did go home...and...OMG I have my baby goat!! *See video* Spoiler, I cried. Yes, I love my goat. Yes, I will spoil him and love him and he will sleep in my bed.

So, come to find out, my husband spoke with my boss to get me into the office on Tuesday Feb 14 so he could get the goat home and cleaned and then gave her the all clear to send me home but I was still thinking she needed me for something. When she was just a distraction.
