Things I never realized I needed for a goat
- Goat house and bedding
- Milk replacement, bottles, nipples
- Hay, wood chips
- Goat feed, treats
- Diapers, belly bands, female period pads (I use always super pads)
- Clothes
- a diaper bag
- Containers for food on the go, a collapsible water bowl and a led
Since we got him as a baby, we needed milk replacement and bottles and nipples. Granted, he does not like this replacement milk, but I force feed him some hoping to get him to like it It's been 3 days, he still hates it.
Goat food is a great thing for inside the home. We got him the "goat grower" and treats from Tractor Supply. He's ok with these. And since he is a goat on the go, we got him containers to put his food and treats in for when we are away from home.
I also got him diapers and belly bands. The diapers I got are for small dogs with a hole cut out for the tail. I've found the best use for these are for at night to contain his poop along with a onesie. I've found though I like the belly bands for male dogs lined with a period pad. I can change out the pad every few house and use only one belly band a day. Which so far seems to work great for inside the house. And because I'm me, I wanted to dress my goat up. My daughter and I went to Target and got 6-9 month and 12 month onesies and these seem to work great! I only dress him at night to help contain the poop and if we are going out. If we are just dropping the baby children off at school he's only in a belly band. Then because we are a family on the go, I got him a diaper bag! It's actually a kids backpack, because have you seen the prices for diaper bags and just plain bags!!
And because I was asked by my co-workers to video me diapering the goat...here you go. He was not having it, but I finally got it on him!
